On 8 March 2026, our school choir shone at the 20th Hong Kong (Asia-Pacific) Music Competition, winning the coveted Gold Award with their spirited performance of Homework Waltz.

The song, written from a student’s perspective, humorously portrays the never-ending battle with homework and exams — a theme that every student can relate to. Singing in Cantonese added an extra challenge, as the choir had to perfect both pronunciation and expression to bring out the playful sarcasm of the lyrics. Through weeks of dedicated rehearsal, the students delivered a performance full of charm, humour, and energy that resonated strongly with the audience. Their efforts were rewarded with enthusiastic applause and high praise from adjudicators and participants alike.

Congratulations to our talented singers for their gold-winning performance and for showing how music can turn shared struggles into laughter and art!
