On July 6, 2025, our school’s wind band and the Musical Lead Singers (Vienna) participated in the "6th Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Youth Arts Performance 2025."

The wind band won the first prize in their category; the Musical Lead Singers (Vienna) also successfully received a first prize. This competition has been included by the government as part of the "Celebrations for the 28th Anniversary of Hong Kong’s Return." Both teams have qualified to advance to the national finals, which will be held later.

This competition holds special symbolism for both groups. For the Musical Lead Singers, it served as a valuable pre-tour competition, helping them to prepare thoroughly for their upcoming 80th Anniversary: Vienna Exchange Gala Tour scheduled for late July this year. For the wind band, the event was a significant opportunity to test and showcase their improvements and resilience following the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic. Both teams performed exceptionally well, demonstrating their dedication and growth.

The event was honored to be included by the Hong Kong government as part of the "28th Anniversary Celebration of Hong Kong’s Return." The judging panel included Dr. Chu Hing-hung, BBS, JP, Chairman of the Hong Kong Musicians Association, and Vice Chairman, pianist Mr. Yau Ying-wah. Award presenters included Ms. Chong Chui-shan, member of the Civic Education Committee, Legislator Lee Kai-lit, and Dr. Kong Wing-hang, Professor at The Education University of Hong Kong.
