From Unified Melody to Crafted Epic: A Grand Musical Movement Celebrating Heung To’s 80th Anniversary
A Spectacular Night of Music and Unity at the Hong Kong City Hall
On the evening of April 20, 2026, the Heung To Education Organization presented the "From Unified Melody to Crafted Epic" Concert at the Hong Kong City Hall Concert Hall. This grand event brought together students, teachers, and parents from Heung To Middle School, Heung To Middle School (Tin Shui Wai), and Heung To Secondary School (Tseung Kwan O). Together, they celebrated Heung To’s 80th birthday with a magnificent symphony of sounds, welcoming over a thousand guests, parents, and alumni to a night filled with warmth and joy.
A Prestigious Gathering
The concert was attended by several distinguished guests, including Mr. Yuen Mo (Chairman of the Alumni Association), Mr. Ip Yin Ping (Chairman of Heung To Education Organization), Mr. Yeung Yiu Chung (Director of Educational Development), and other key directors of the organization.
Principal Chan Kam Sheung of Heung To Middle School (Tin Shui Wai) delivered the opening remarks on behalf of the organization. She expressed her profound gratitude to the teachers, students, and parents who performed, as well as the dedicated production teams from the three schools whose hard work made this spectacular evening possible.
A Diverse Showcase of Musical Excellence
The program was a testament to the rich musical heritage and talent across our three schools, featuring a wide array of performances:
- Traditional & Modern: The thunderous energy of the Chinese Drum Team and the elegant melodies of the Chinese Music Ensemble.
- Creative Fusion: An innovative and moving Guzheng and Cello duo.
- Contemporary Vibes: Vibrant performances from our Pop Bands and the intricate harmonies of A Cappella and the Choir.
- Grand Orchestration: A symphonic feast provided by the String, Wind, and Full Orchestras
The climax of the evening featured the combined Choirs and Orchestras of all three schools performing together—a powerful "Song of Youth" that expressed their collective gratitude to Heung To.

What made this concert truly special was the sight of teachers, students, and parents sharing the stage. This collaboration perfectly embodied the "Heung To as a big family" spirit, proving that music is a universal language that binds our community together. To conclude the night, the guests led the entire hall in a stirring rendition of the "Song of Heung To," symbolizing the passing of the torch from one generation to the next.
