The Heung To Education Organization Banquet celebrating the 76th National Day was successfully held on September 26th. Over 400 guests, alumni, and staff attended, enjoying a warm and festive atmosphere.
The event commenced with the solemn playing of the National Anthem, followed by a speech delivered by Principal Chung Yiu Kei from Tseung Kwan O Heung To Secondary School. During his speech, Chung emphasized that Heung To has long striven to cultivate a new generation with a strong sense of national identity and national pride. Through diverse curricula and patriotic education activities, the schools continue to guide students to understand the history, culture and development of our nation and to strengthen their sense of national identity, nurturing young talents for Hong Kong, for the nation. Looking ahead, Heung To will celebrate the "Spirit of Heung To," which is to stay united while upholding fundamental principles and breaking new ground, providing high-quality talents to Hong Kong, to the nation. Chung extended his heartful gratitude to the retired staff for laying a solid foundation for the development of Heung To's patriotic education, and expressed gratitude to all current Heung To staff for their dedication and commitment to the school's educational mission.
The banquet, filled with laughter and music, brought together members of the Heung To community from different and alumni across different graduating classes to celebrate our nation’s birthday. Key figures, including Ms. Yip Yin Ping (Chairperson of Heung To Education Organization), Mr. Yeung Yiu Chung (Director of Educational Development), Mr. Wong Chung Leung (Executive Director), Mr. Tang Fei (Director of Educational Research), Mr. Ng Yung Fai (Financial Director), Mr. Wong Chi Wah (Financial Consultant), and Ms. Wong Oi Ying (Chief Executive Officer); School Managers of Heung To Secondary School such as Mr. Wong Ting Kwong and Mr. Yan Ho Yin; School Managers of Tin Shui Wai Heung To Secondary School, including Mr. Tang Kwong Sing, Mr. Tsang Tai, and Ms. Law Yuen Kwan, alongside Principal Chan Kam Sheung; Mr. Yuen Mo (Chairman of the School Management Committee of Tseung Kwan O Heung To Secondary School) and School Managers like Ms. Lau Fuk Kwan and Ms. Wong Yuen Yee, along with Principal Chung Yiu Kei; Principal Cheung Yung Shing of Heung To College; members of the Heung To Secondary School Management Committee, including Vice Principals Ms. Leung Yee Wah and Mr. Yik Wai Wah; and Mr. Fung Hon Man (Chairman of the Elderly Staff Association) all took the stage to officiate the ceremony. Mr. Yeung Yiu Chung, Director of Educational Development, offered a toast, wishing the Motherland "national prosperity, stability, and strength," and Hong Kong "harmony, stability, and sustainable development."
The annual award ceremony presentation for the Yeung Yiu Chung Teaching Fund Awards was held during the banquet, recognizing the devotion of Heung To staff who diligently perform their duties and stay true to their original mission. The banquet was filled with joyous laughter and continuous singing, featuring cultural performances, a general knowledge quiz on national affairs, and rounds of lucky draws, which enriched the lively ambiance. The banquet concluded with the powerful singing of "Ode to the Motherland."
